The focus of the Omicron Phi Omega Youth Summit is to offer young scholars exposure to education and social awareness.

“Be STEM-tastic! Explore, Discover and Design”
Young girls and boys ages 9-18 were exposed to education and job opportunities in the areas of STEM (Science, Math, Engineering, and Technology). Tools and skills were offered through interactive workshops. Keynote speaker, Tanya Taylor-Foutch, an engineer supervisor at FCA US Transmission Plants and Samiah Turner Young Author “My Life As An 8 Year Old Engineer””

TeaAKA Youth Summit Luncheon
This year’s theme is PRETTY IN PINK! Powerful. Incredible. Notable. Knowledgeable. Young girls in our community attended an event focused to inspire and encourage them to move forward with a positive attitude using tools provided to promote and build positive self-esteem. Guest speakers included, Breanca Merritt, b1`Senior Research Analyst at the Indiana University Public Policy Institute and Founding Director of the Center for Research on Inclusion and Social Policy at IUPUI and Youth Entrepreneur, Kyla Nicole Matthews.
